Chris Renshaw (918XC) had a strong showing in his first race of the season, finishing 6th in the Open Category at the Miles of Discomfort Marathon event in Comfort,Tx. The field included Lance Armstrong, who won the event, and 7 time 24 Hr World Champion Chris Eatough (4th). The race became a race of attrition on the final lap as thawing conditions turned the course into a bog that took its toll on both riders and equipment and, according to a Tweet from Lance himself, added 10 lbs to the weight of the bike from its start weight. Renshaw now continues his preparation for the Marathon event in Spa City on February 27.
